As I look down the mountain, my palms grew sweaty as I clinch the reins. The trail is very high and dusty so it is very hard to see anything. Even though it was dusty, the horses fortunately still knew where they were going. Some people are a little scared because they are so high up, but not for me because I like living on the edge like this, literally.
On the trail, I there are lots of animals. I am riding the house and I see a big snake on the side on the trail. I look forward and back and the councilors are too busy enjoying themselves. Seeing that I take my opportunity and direct my horse over to the side and check out the interesting looking snake. Wow, look at that snake, it is has all sorts of neat shapes on it and it is black, orange, and red. It is hard to see the snake from on top of he horse so I dismount and take an even closer look. I check once again to see if the councilors are looking so I do not get in trouble, but they are still in their own world. Then, the horse is suddenly startled and it gets up on two legs and knocks me over tumbling down the side of the mountain. The horse then leaves the scene and bolts off somewhere on the mountain.
There I am, lying at the bottom of the mountain. I was knocked over. I get up slowly and look around to see if I see anybody at all. I look up and see where I fell off which happened to be about the length of a football field but it was about a fifty degree angle. So then I decide to try to yell out to see if anyone can hear him but I get no response. Then I try to climb the mountain but I do not make it very far because there are all sorts of plants around on the mountain so it is not only hart just to climb the dirt incline but there are obstacles in the way.
So now I will have to find my way back on my own now. I look around for awhile and eventually find the camp lodge a few miles out. The way back looks pretty rough and rugged but it is the only way back and I have to get back to the camp.
So then I set off on my journey to find my way back with only myself and my trusty pocket knife. The journey should not be too hard because it is most downhill and I know the general direction of where I am going, but I might run into something dangerous and plus I have no food.
Well, I walk for about four hours until I then decide I need a break. While I am taking my break I hear rummaging in the bushes. What was that I ask myself. So I slowly move over to the bushes with my pocket knife in hand ready to attack anything that would come out and attack me. When I arrive the bushes, I run my hand in there and I feel this fuzzy object. So I decide the open up the bushes and see what it is only to find an innocent baby bear. The bear is about a foot tall and pitch black. Oh no! There is a huge bear, probably the mother bear, returning from the forest running right toward me. So I do what anybody would do and run away. I run and run and run. I eventually run out of breath but I continue running. I turn my head back hoping the bear is not anywhere close to me and in my amazement, the bear is nowhere to be seen. Wait a second, where am I? I do not know if I want to go back where I came from because of that bear but how do I get back? Even if I went back to the bear, where would I go from there? I am completely lost.
I am not really sure what to do now that I am lost, so I decide to walk in the direction I think is most right and go with it hoping I am going to find my way back. I walk for a while. Am I going the right way? Maybe I am. Or maybe I am not. I think I am going to urn around now because I am going to wrong way. No wait, is that water I hear? So I then decide to go and see and it turns out that there is a river there. There is a dock there too with a boat tied at the end so I think this must be a way back because it looks like somebody has been here. I walk up to the end of the dock, get in the boat, cut the rope, and set off in hope for the best.
I stay on the boat for a few hours. I then hear some voices over to the side in the woods of the forest. I think to myself that I am probably going crazy but then I hear the voices again and decide to go over there and check it out. So I go over to the side of the river and tie off the boat and get out. I look and do not see anybody. So I walk a little farther and see some people between the trees of the forest. I then quickly run up the group of people. The people turn out to be my horseback trial group that I was separated from. I look around and see my horse lonely in the back following the other people on horses. I then run up to the horse and jump on the back of my horse and follow everybody back to the camp and enjoy the rest of my time at camp.
