JE PT test

This Wednesday I had my final PT test of the semester for ROTC. We are tested on three things, 2 minutes of push-ups, 2 minutes of sit-ups, and a 2 mile run. I was really worried about it because i had been working out like crazy to get ready for it, then I went home for break and did not do 1 push up or sit up the whole week, and only ran one time. I returned to school figuring that I had set myself up for disaster.
The test was at 0600, 6 AM, bright and early, army style. It was sooo cold and dark, because the lights at the track were not turned on. The first event was the push up. As many pushups as you can do in 2 minutes would not be that hatrd, excepth that if you want a break, you have to do it in the up position. If anything but your hands and feet touch the ground when you are "resting," your performance is "terminated." Somehown I managed to do 61, which is not tht bad. It got me 86 points out o a possible 100.
That gave me some confidence going into the sit-up. That is always my weakest area, but I busted out 62 to get 74 out of 100 points. I was so relieved.
The final event is the 2 mil run, and I never worry about that because I ran cross country and track in high school. 13 minutes gets 100 points and I ran an 11:54. So I finished with 260 out of 300 points, which is fine since the goal is 180. But over Christmas break I will definitely be working out so that hopefully I will max out in January and get a 300.
