Have you ever been left home alone by yourself with no one around? Sitting in the darkness wishing there was someone there with you because you can bet your life that there is someone outside of your room? If you have, you would totally understand where I am coming from. This is what happened this weekend.
All my roomates planned on going on a road trip last weekend and get away for a few days. It seemed like a great plan until I found out that I couldnt come along on the trip because I had a sororiety event to attend Friday night. That meant that I would be in my dorm all by myself for the entire weekend. Yeah, at first it sounded great, but then I realized what that meant. Lets face it, things appear to be scarier in the dark. Closets turn into homes for monsters, the trees outside turn into arms reaching out to grab you, and everything around you just looks creepy.
I called a few friends to see if they wanted to sleep over, but who was I kidding...it was Friday night! Everyone was out partying while I was in my room scared to death. I finally called my parents in hopes to gain back some sanity. To no surprise, they both laughed histerically at me for my childish behavior, but its so weird not having anyone sleeping in the room next to you.
All I can say is that it was a long weekend. A weekend that was fun, but a weekend that was scary. Im so glad that my roomates are back, and things are loud and back to normal. Living by yourself is def not fun...at least to me!
