JE Back From Home
Last week I went home for the first time in 7 weeks. It was so great to see my family again, and my girlfriend was back from Texas too. It was so nice sleeping in my own bed again, and driving on the same old roads I've driven a million times before, and listening to my little brothers fighting at the dinner table. I also worked on my Jeep with my dad, just like old times. By the end of the week, It already seemed like I wasn't in school anymore. We had a huge Thanksgiving dinner, including a 26 pound turkey which was gone by Saturday. But while I missed being home a lot, it also made me realize how great things are at school. At school, I don't have to flex my lifestyle around 9 other people, and while I love all 9 of them, I have really goten used to living independently and it would be hard to give that up. So it was not that sad leaving my house on Monday morning to drive back. Besides, I will be home again in less than 2 weeks. A month off for Christmas break will be just what I need.
