The portfolio draft that I decided to expand on was draft D. At first, I wrote and felt extremely strong about draft C. It was a paper on a polarized position that I held pertaining to a topic of my choice. I choose to write about abortions.
For draft C I wrote about how the law should not permit women to undergo abortions and the reasons why. After that, I was asked to write about my topic from the other perspective. At first I thought it would be an impossible task. How could I agree about something when im against it? I knew that it was an assignment that I had to complete so I had no other choice then to go ahead and write. Little did I know that this draft would have more details and make more sense.
Never in a million years did I think that I would be expanding on draft D. But I realized after reading it several times that this essay could be expanded easier and just flowed better. I have more ideas and facts that I looked up.
One thing that I would like to work on is forming the paragraphs better. I have included lots of factual details and I felt at times that it was hard to organize everything. I tried to put similar parts together, but I didn’t want to wind up writing long paragraphs so I broke them up sometimes.
I know that there are always things that I can prove on. To be honest, I like how my draft came out. I think it fully states my position on abortion, and backs up my opinion with actual facts. If anyone has any advice; good or bad, I would love to hear it. I want to get some feedback so I can make my draft even better!
