This revision assignment really helped my struggling paper. Just by adding dialogue alone really put some life into my draft. I enjoy reading dialogue more than descriptive paragraphs. I still feel like this draft could be a whole lot better but I know it has greatly improved from before. Making a first person story is so much easier than writing in third person. I feel that I used the word I way too much though. This story still does not compare with the drafts we did during the first 9 weeks but it is better than the death penalty paper. It really does not take a long time to alter a paper and make it into a first person paper with dialogue. You really get your added 200 words quickly. I enjoy doing revision assignments a whole lot more than just changing topic ideas and starting all over. Someone commented on my first draft and asked how long it took me to think of this idea. I guess it can be seen as a slacker idea or something because it did not take me long to think of and it was the only thing I could think of. All and all I feel this draft is better than the first.
