Jimmy's Adventure

It was the middle of the long hot summer in where little Jimmy was at summer camp once again. Every year, Jimmy attended camp and every year, he could never wait to go to camp to go off and do fun activities with friends and get away from school and parents. But this year, it is going to be special because the camp was going to do horseback ridding, which Jimmy thought sounded very fun.

Well, time came around to the horseback ridding, and everybody saddled up and went off. The trail was on a very steep mountain and was scary to some people because they were so high up, but not for Jimmy because he enjoyed living this the edge, literally. The ride was very exciting and Jimmy got to see a lot of things.

On the trail, Jimmy saw a snake on the side of the trail. The snake was very cool looking because it was fairly big and was black, orange, and red. So of course Jimmy, with his adventurous attitude, decides to go off from the trail and take a closer look at the snake. Jimmy then decides to hops off the horse to take a even closer look because horse keeps moving because it is afraid of the snake. Then, after a minute the horse suddenly gets up on two legs and knocks Jimmy over the side of the mountain, and the horse bolts off somewhere in the forest.

Jimmy then wakes up at the bottom of the mountain discombobulated not knowing what to do now. So he gets up, looks around and looks to see if he sees anyone at all. He then looks up and sees were he fell off. After a few minutes of recuperating from the fall, he eventually remembers what happened. So then he tries to yell out to see if anyone can hear him but he gets no response. Then he tries to climb the cliff he fell off of but he does not make it very far.

Well, this situation seemed to be a problem so he realized that he would have to find his way back on his own now. He looked around for awhile and eventually found the camp lodge a few miles away. The way back looked pretty rough and rugged but it was the only way back and he had to get back to the camp.

So Jimmy sets off on his journey to find his way back with only himself and his trusty pocket knife. The journey should not be too hard because it is most downhill and he knew pretty much where he is going, but he might run into something dangerous and he has no food.

Well, Jimmy walked for about an hour until he decided he needed to take a break. During his break he heard rummaging in the bushes so he decided to look and see what it is. He looks and sees what it is to only find that it is just a little baby bear. But a few seconds latter, Jimmy is startled to find the mother bear returning coming right toward Jimmy does what anybody would do and runs away. Jimmy runs until he cannot anymore and turns around in relief to find the bear not in sight but to find he is lost, even more.

So Jimmy decides to walk in the direction he thinks is most right and goes with it. After walking for a while, he thinks about his previous decision, when just before he decides to turn around, he hears water. He thinks to himself, “water? maybe I’ll go and check it out.” So Jimmy goes to check it out and find a dock on a river with a boat at the end. He walks to the end of the dock and remembers that there is a river that goes right by the camp. So he then gets in the boat, cuts the rope and sets off and hopes for the best.

He stayed on the boat for a few hours until he heard some people and stopped to see who it was. He then went to the side of the river and saw some people between the trees of the forest. He then ran up the group of people which turned out to be his horseback trial group the he got lost in. He looked around and saw his horse lonely in the back following the other people on horses. He ran to the back and got on his horse and then went back to the camp and enjoyed the rest of his time at camp.
