ENC 1101-B3 & B4: Writing for Discovery

This paper was a neat experience and I hope that with some revision I can make this into a great story. I didn’t really have any good ideas for this paper but once I sat down to write it they all followed. I have a hard time with the transition and organization but in this paper I think that the Longman Handbook has helped me out a lot in the last few weeks.

I hope to use this paper for my portfolio draft and maybe for my final grade so I will really be revising it. When I write a paper I really have a hard time with the introduction but in this paper I tried just to sit down and write whatever came out instead of planning an introduction and trying to make it work. The only problems that I really ran into this paper were the ideas and trying to make it s creative story. When I was running out of ideas I would just think about if I was running around in a haunted house and what I would think was happening. This class has opened up a lot of opportunities for me and the way that I will expand my writing. I have never had to write a creative story before this.

well, i think that the introduction you wrote definitely works better than the standard sort of introduction. keep doing more of the just sitting down and writing. then if you really don't like the intro you come up with that way, you can always rewrite it later.

and good job on imagining the haunted house yourself and then including it in your writing.
