It was 6:30 in the morning on a Monday. Monday’s are always the worst days of the week. This Monday would be especially bad for a girl named Deveroux. She woke up that morning and got dressed for school. She was a senior in high school and ready to graduate and get out of her house. She ran downstairs to eat some eggs and bacon that her mother made for her. On her way down she tripped and landed at the bottom of the stairs on her head. Great way to start the day. Her car was a 2003 Mustang, a birthday present from her parents.
On the way to school she always picked up her best friend Axel. They were at a red-light, chilling, and talking about life. Then suddenly the light turned green. She put her foot on the gas and started to drive when out of nowhere a Jeep Cherokee moving at about 50 miles per hour, ran his light and T-boned the side of her brand new Mustang, causing the car to 180 into a telephone pole. To make things worse it was a hit and run and the guy in the Jeep took off probably never to be seen again. Luckily Deveroux and Axel were both O.K., but the car was totaled. This Monday was getting better and better. She dealt with the police and everything and finally arrived at school a little late.
Deveroux hated Math and was borderline failing the class. When she went to class today, with her luck, the teacher said ‘Pop Quiz," which made Deveroux’s heart drop because if she failed this quiz she would fail the class for sure because it was close to the end of the semester. She failed the quiz with flying colors actually. She was at the point were she just wanted to die.
Axel thought that leaving campus for lunch might make her feel better so they went to Wendy’s. There was a bum looking guy standing in front of her in line and all of a sudden he pulled out a gun and told everyone to freeze and give them there wallets. Deveroux had just gone to the ATM yesterday and took out 150 bucks and had all of it in her wallet. That plus her credit cards and license. Axel on the other hand did not have more than 7 dollars, no license because he did not drive and no credit cards either. His parents would not let him have one. The bun took everyone’s wallets and told everyone to get on the ground face down. Great, thought Deveroux, now I am poor and got no lunch. What more could possibly happen to her on this Monday.
Well she walked back to school and finished off the day with what seemed like no problems. Maybe the bad luck streak was over. She got on the school bus because she had no car anymore. As long as the school bus got her home safely she did not care about riding on it. The school bus driver was a new driver and this was his first day on the job. There was a sharp curve on the way to Deveroux’s house and this driver was inexperienced and tossed the bus on its side. Everyone was flipping out but no one was hurt except for Deveroux. She got crushed between two really fat kids and she…well…she died.
After surviving all of the daily problems and catastrophes she was killed suffocating under two fat kids in a flipped bus. No one else died except her. What a way to end the Monday.
