Technology..what a country...

It' amazing how our economic stature transitions itself in various ways. Our means of communication and learning has increasingly become more and more effortless through all of the many different tunnels of the World Wide Web.

A couple a years back, books and magazines were solely used for every type of writing, research, and data based projects. When the Internet was invented, communicating became easier and the public began to adhere curiously to the new means of contact.

Brown’s interpretation of the Internet’s development was seemingly interesting. He made it a point that resources that were used were very limited. Thinking and problem solving was more complicated and tedious. Now, with the technology these days, children are brought up to learn how to process information through computers and other electronically operated devices.

Nowadays, children use all of this technology to it’s many advantages. Brown states that “today's kids are always "multiprocessing"-they do several things simultaneously-listen to music, talk on the cell phone, and use the computer, all at the same time.” I couldn’t understand his opinion any more. I find myself doings many things all at once all the time. Even right now as I type this paper, I have the TV and CD player going at once. It some how creates a comfortable environment in which I am able to work in. Without technology, I don’t know where I would stand. I think I would become lost within the first week of not having a computer, cell phone, TV, or any other technological based product.

I thought it was very intelligent the way Brown broke down the processes of learning based on the importance of the Internet.
It is so true that learning is now more visual an analytically involved. There is so much more problem solving and “thinking outside of the box.”

I love the way we learn these days. It is so much more open minded and diverse than it was in the past. We are able to pinpoint more concepts and opinions; thus making our answers and reasonings more vivid and multi-faceted.

With technology these days, it’s no wonder we can exceed our limits and reach to the sky. We have the technology and tools to get us where we want to be.

Many things at once!

Like you mentioned from the article, children today are always "multi tasking", but I feel that some from different generations may feel that these children dont concentrate as well because they do so many things at once. I feel that our generation is definitely more high tech, and can have many more things available for us to learn. I always see commercials on television about books that talk to you and teach children how to read and speak different languages.
Kids on the www

Technology does rock. I heard that back in my old elementary school, they are teaching children how to type up their name and simple sentences on computer. I think that defiantly demonstrates the use of technology and how it is making learning different and simple. It allows us to expand our horizons and creativity.
As years go by...

I couldn't agree with you more. My little cousin is only three years old, and he is already using the computer. He plays games, and he is rapidly becoming aware of the different letters on the keyboard. I feel that the children of our generation are quickly gaining more knowledge at younger and younger ages as the years go by.
The Art of Multiprocessing

I was the same way in the midst of typing this response. Our generation has become the masters of the art of multitasking, or as Brown refers to it, “multiprocessing”. We have technology before us, so why not use it to our advantage or at the same time?
Good job

I liked the way you spoke of transformations in your writing from back in the past when our parents were growing up and technology was evolving slowly to what it is now as we are growing up in this day in age. I think you spoke of how Browns views were kind of like the same as yours very fluently. And I totally agree with you when you wrote about how children have many advantages given to them and us teenagers. And how we are always doing at least three things at one time and that is so right.
