I think the article, “Growing Up in Digital,” is very interesting. It relates to me because I remember, as a child, the first time I even heard the word email. I was in a toy store and the guy working there was talking about it and I just remember thinking, “what is that? I don‘t understand it” And even now, I really do not understand exactly how it works but email is a part of everybody’s life and to not knowing what it is would be like not knowing what a TV is. Actually, now that I have been using the internet and email for so long, I do not know what I would do without it now that I have it because it plays such an important part in my and everybody else’s lives.
The internet is probably going to be much more than it is now. I think the internet will change a lot, like electricity, and most other big inventions. The army used it about forty years ago and then email about ten years ago and now what can you not do on the internet. I remember, when I got a Juno email account and emailing people, it was so cool to send mail by computer. And then later, I could go to web sites and even make web sites. My first web site was a web site of for the Tampa Bay Bucs and I wrote about player and predicted scores and other stuff. And then later I got IM and I could talk to people without calling them or even meet people all over the world thru chat rooms. After that, I could download anything I want, form songs to games. It is mind boggling to think what will happen in many years to come because I have been using the web for only five years and it has changed so much since then.
