ENC 1101-B3 & B4: Writing for Discovery

Every one is given a chance in life to do what they want with their lives. Some people make the right choice, some make the wrong choice. James knew exactly what he wanted to do with his life and he was determined to do anything to get what he wanted. James was 18 and worked for a living. He had a few friends who had a band and he really admired them. His girlfriend was always bugging him to get a band and pursue his dream.

My friends room mate discovered tabit today. He is the worst candidate for the job and he cant stop using it. I wish he would stop because he has no talent. Maybe in a few years but not now, not under these circumstances.

i woke up today and realized there are very few days of school left. i leave next thursday. that my friends is so awesome. i cant believe how fast this semester has gone by.

im kind of disappointed though. i didnt find anyone to start a band with. its kind of discouraging but alas i will not give up. im really happy here so hopefully i will find someone within my 4 years left here.

Tonight im sitting in my room about to forget to do my journal entry and I think, what better time to do a journal entry than now! Today was cool we had a program in our dorm. It was about stds and stuff but we had root beer floats so I went and got some and hung out for a few minutes.

well today i leave for home. im excited but not too excited. i wish it was christmas already so i can get my new surfboard and go surfing. oh well i guess i will have to wait.

me and my friend yaniv are going to see chimaira and bleeding through. they are playing with some other bands but they arent bands that i really care about. i dont really like soilwork that much because they sound like a rip off of in flames and as i lay dying just sucks.

“Why aren’t you ever looking for a band to play in James?” Lara asked me with a disappointed drone. “You are so good at guitar I can’t understand why you don’t start a band.” As I sat in my recliner I pondered that very same question. “Why wasn’t I in a band?!”

While writing this piece i ran into some trouble. I knew where the story was going. I knew who was in it. I knew everything about the story, but I didn’t know how to start it pretending that I am the character in the story. I didn’t know how I would interact with those in the story and how I would make the story flow.

“Why aren’t you ever looking for a band to play in James?” Lara asked me with a disappointed drone. “You are so good at guitar I can’t understand why you don’t start a band.” As I sat in my recliner I pondered that very same question. “Why wasn’t I in a band?!”

i cant believe class was cancelled what a blessing! i didnt sleep well and it gave me the perfect opportunity to catch some much needed zzz's. if anyone wants to start a band let me know because ive been bandless for a while now and i really want to start something with people who are dedicated and want to make it. other than that, with my day off i think i gonna go to the pawn store and help my friend pawn his old amp off for some money to buy a new one.

with my essay i wanted it to have a twist ending. i just started writing about this kid named james and how he wanted to be a musician in a band and my story came out. I think the story flows well except for the end but that can be fixed with criticism and time.

Last night I was walking out of my dorm and I heard this screaming engine coming down the road. You could tell by the way the person was driving it that it was a crotch rocket and they were doing well over a hundred miles an hour.

Last night I saw the matrix revolutions. It was so awesome it hurts. It was really a mind blowing experience and well thought out. It had its funny moments it had its serious moments but it was definitely an all around awesome movie. My friend thinks that it has something to do with religion, and so do I but I don’t really know how to explain it. I also wouldn’t want to ruin the movie for anyone reading this.

My paper is about major record labels and the way I feel they degrade the music industry by feeding us bile and expecting us to like it.i don’t feel like I will ever be able to capture my true emotions on paper but I plan on coming really close with this paper. I may not be close now but I will be sooner or later.
