Portfolio Draft Final
Written by Bixby150 on December 5, 2003 - 17:27
As I look down the mountain, my palms grew sweaty as I clinch the reins. The trail is very high and dusty so it is very hard to see anything. Even though it was dusty, the horses fortunately still knew where they are going. Some of the people are a little scared because they are so high up, but not for me because I like living on the edge like this, literally.

Insane Asylum
Written by Bixby150 on November 25, 2003 - 15:44
I just heard a rumor that they are tearing down that insane asylum over the break over by Tennessee and Phillips. It sucks because I like going into that place when I am messed up. A lot of people say the place is dumb but I think it is fun to go into. What it is, is an abandoned building that I think was a children’s hospital, but I am not sure.
My Adventure - Portfolio draft (Process Memo)
Written by Bixby150 on November 25, 2003 - 15:28
I choose to do my narrative as my portfolio draft. I choose this one because I thought it would be interesting to do because the changes I would do would involve making some parts longer and others shorter. I thought this sounded like the movies so it sounded cool. It was not necessarily hard to do but it not require much work or time to do.
My Adventure - Portfolio draft

It is the middle of the long hot summer and I am at summer camp once again. Every year, I attended camp and every year, I could never wait to go to camp to go off and do fun activities with friends and get away from school and parents. But this year is going to be special because the camp is introducing horseback ridding, which sounds like a lot of fun.
Rapping Kid

I was surfing the internet the other day and I found this link to a website, which happened to be a blog, and it was an entree on this kid that freestyles. The kid is a chubby white boy that looks about twelve years old.
My Adventure (Process Memo)

Writing the second draft was not bad at all. While what I mostly did was change every “Jimmy” to an “I” and all third person pronouns to first person pronouns. I also made the whole paper present tense, not past which is what it was before. I also did so minor changes by adding or deleting some sentences to make it better.

End of the World
Written by Bixby150 on November 14, 2003 - 11:35
Everybody should go to this website. It is incredibly funny. I have seen it many times and still am not sick of it. What it is, is a short video on the end of the world and how we are all going to blow our selves up.
Elf
Written by Bixby150 on November 14, 2003 - 11:17
Yesterday, my friends and I were bored so we all decided to go see that new movie Elf and it was pretty funny. I actually thought it was going to be funny than it was because Will Ferril is really funny so it came out as a slight disappointment but it was still really funny.
Jimmy's Adventure (Process Memo)
Written by Bixby150 on November 13, 2003 - 14:16
Even though this is my first draft and it is supposed to be rough and not very good, but I just do not think I did a very good job. I had a hard time writing it because I did not know what I wanted to write about so I just decided to free write and just start writing and let myself just create something. I did not have a hard time meeting the word count, even though I thought that I would have some trouble with that.
Jimmy's Adventure

It was the middle of the long hot summer in where little Jimmy was at summer camp once again. Every year, Jimmy attended camp and every year, he could never wait to go to camp to go off and do fun activities with friends and get away from school and parents. But this year, it is going to be special because the camp was going to do horseback ridding, which Jimmy thought sounded very fun.
Nemo

I just saw that movie last night, Finding Nemo at the SLB, and it was actually better than I thought it was going to be. I came into it thinking it was not going to be good because it was a cartoon and it must be for kids but it is not just for kids. Now I know going into something without an open mind is usually bad but I actually ended up liking it, which says something because if I probably went into with a more open mind, I might have liked it even more.
Race
Written by Bixby150 on November 6, 2003 - 12:10
I just came back from anthropology, a class that I really do not like at all, but we watched this interesting video on race and how everybody is not so different under the skin. They tried comparing different races to how they perform athletically and intellectually but that was only to individual people.
Growing up Digital
Written by Bixby150 on November 5, 2003 - 21:36
I think the article, “Growing Up in Digital,” is very interesting. It relates to me because I remember, as a child, the first time I even heard the word email. I was in a toy store and the guy working there was talking about it and I just remember thinking, “what is that? I don‘t understand it” And even now, I really do not understand exactly how it works but email is a part of everybody’s life and to not knowing what it is would be like not knowing what a TV is. Actually, now that I have been using the internet and email for so long, I do not know what I would do without it now that I have it because it plays such an important part in my and everybody else’s lives.
