ENC 1101-B3 & B4: Writing for Discovery

"SHUT UP BRYAN! You are scaring Meredith." screamed Jon, nervously wondering if anyone figured that it was truly him that was scared.

"Everyone got their flashlights?" asked Geoff, shaking a little, but trying to mask the fear in his voice.

Oh my God, i can not believe that this is my last journal entry for the semester!! It is kind of weird though, i kind of have mixed feelings about this entry. I mean i'm glad that i don't have to stress out about having to do two one hundred and fifty word journals a weeks, but it is still kind of sad to know that i will probably never have to do these little journals again.

I was just sitting here trying to come up with an idea about my second to last journal entry and then this just popped into my head and i could not believe that i had not wrote a journal entry about this a long time ago.

Happy Thanksgiving!! Thanksgiving is such a great holiday. I mean when else can you forget about your diet and weight and just pig out all day on some great food, such as turkey, stuffing, and mashed potatos and gravy. MMMMM good!!

Oh my god i hate driving home!!! Its not that i don't like going home and seeing my family and friends, it is just that drving on the interstate absolutely sucks! First of all, i do not have enough patience to sit in a car for four hours driving to Orlando and then four hours back to Tallahassee, by the time the drive is over my ass, legs, and back hurt from sitting down for so long. There are also a lot of crazy drivers out there that go on highways who seem to have no respect for their lives and for others. I mean i almost got killed like three times just on the ride home!!!

I really like this draft and i feel likes it has been the best draft, not to mention the best thing i have wrote all semester! It is very easy for me to write about something that i know about and have experienced first hand, than something that i would have to research about. There are a lot of things that i think i did really good on in this draft, such as the amount of detail i put into it and the way it flows. I also like how this paper reaches out to you and makes you feel like you are actually there.

Registering for classes in college absolutely sucks when you are a freshman! First of all i get on my computer at 8:01 in the morning thinking that it would be easy to get on since i am probably one of the first to sign on.

Last night we had our second kickball game, which really sucked because a lot of our fastest and best players were at the John Mayer concert. Our starting center fielder, who is also the fastest guy on the team, and our starting pitcher, who is a very good power hitter, was not there. We had to put someone in the outfield who had absolutely no idea what he was doing, so needless to say our team lost pretty bad.

With the exception of a few points, i think that i did very well on this revision assignment. I feel that i put a lot of detail into it and used a lot of dialogue, which i hardly ever use so i think that i did particularly good on that.

"On a boring Friday, with nothing better to do, six brave Florida State University students stupidly decided to visit the famously haunted Tallahassee Sunland, an abandoned assylum for mentally diseased children. The mystery that shrouds the forgotten building was more than enough for the teenagers to be greatly interested. Even worse was the fact that the group of friends decided on going at midnight, on the first harvest moon of the year... perfect brooding grounds for a dark spirits." I boomed creepily.

Does anyone want to know what is the best video game ever? By far and without a doubt it is Halo for XBOX. Halo has everything, a lot of action, a great story line, a great multiplayer mode, and it has even got some comedy to it! Almost every single night everybody in my hallway, Landis 3rd floor East, has a Halo tournamen going on.

Oh my god! I never really realized how much fun kickball is and how muchi missed it until tonight when we had our first intermural kickball game. We ended up winning on account of a forfeit because another team didn't show up, but we still got a practice game in with a team that played just before we got there.

My paper lacked the detail that could really have made it a little better. Especially towards the end of the piece where I described each of their demises. Maybe a little more elaboration at the end would have made it a better story.
