About CCCC-IP

Since 1994, the Caucus on Intellectual Property and Composition/ Communication Studies (CCCC-IP) has sponsored meetings on the intersections of intellectual property policy and composition studies during the annual Conference on College Composition and Communication. Caucus meetings typically feature an overview of IP issues for newcomers, special reports from representatives of the CCCC-IP Committee, international affairs, and various intellectual property working groups. Caucus participants address such legislative and academic topics as copyright and fair use, multi-media and the public domain, university IP policies, faculty work-for-hire, authorship and plagiarism, distance education.
